How to Measure Your Foot at Home Before Ordering Shoes Online

Ordering shoes online is easy when you know your exact size. You only need a sheet of paper, a pen and a ruler.

What you need

• A sheet of plain paper
• A pen or pencil
• A ruler or measuring tape
• A wall or hard flat surface

Steps

1. Do it in the evening, when your feet are at their largest.
2. Place the paper on a hard floor with one edge against the wall.
3. Stand on the paper with your heel against the wall.
4. Ask someone to mark the tip of your longest toe, or lean down carefully and mark it yourself.
5. Measure from the paper edge to the mark. This is your foot length.
6. Repeat for the other foot, because one foot is often slightly longer. Use the larger measurement.
